Tour to Coorg & Mysore

Staff Club organised a family tour to Coorg & Mysore on 7th to 9 November 2014. 40 members including  the members of the family of the teachers took part in the programme. The places visited are Golden temple, Nisarga Dama (Bamboo forest),

Mysore KRS Brindavan ,Mysore Zoo, Mysore Palace, St.Philomina Church Chamundi Hill and Triveni Sangamam.

Workshop on UGC PBAS & Career Advancement Scheme

    Staff Club organised a workshop on UGC PBAS & CAREER ADVANCEMENT SCHEME on  9 December, 2014. Dr. Saleem, Assistant Professor& Research Guide, Farook Training College was the Resource Person.

STAFF CLUB HONOURS Dr. AZEEZ THARUVANA

The Staff Club of Farook College   honoured Dr. Azeez Tharuvana, the recipient of Ambedkar National Excellency Award 2014 on 27 June, 2014. Dr. Azeez Tharuvana, a versatile writer and Assistant Professor of Malayalam, Farook College received the award for his work Vayanadan Ramayanam. The award was presented to him by the Honourable Governor of Kerala, Sheila Dikshit. 

The honouring ceremony, organized by the staff club, was held at the Audio Visual Theatre of Farook College.   Dr. Sajitha M.A, Secretary  of the Staff Club, in her  welcome address spoke of the significance of the plurality of texts in the postcolonial world. Prof. E.P. Imbichikoya, Principal, Farook College   presided over the function. He commended that the award of Mr. Azeez is a great achievement for the college. He congratulated Mr. Azeez who has authored 13 books and edited another 13 books. The Chief Guest, Dr. Anil K.M, Associate Professor of Malayalam, University of Calicut rendered the Keynote Address in which he highlighted the relevance of historical and geographical readings of Ramayana .  He also pointed out how the work of Dr. Azeez  is a great contribution in  the social and cultural  fields.  As a token of appreciation, the staff club presented a memento to Dr. Azeez Tharuvana. Mr. Kamaruddeen, Assistant Professor of Malayalam and Dr. Kishore Kumar, Assistant Professor of Botany, rendered felicitations. In his reply speech, Dr. Azeez Tharuvana, explained the long journey behind this work.  Prof. Mithunshah , Assistant Professor of Physics and Joint Secretary of Staff Club, proposed vote of thanks.
